CAPTURED BY CORONAVIRUS

#coronavirus #Slovenia #Serbia #border #reportage

As the virus approached Slovenia's borders in early March, the borders were closed overnight. Various measures came into force on them. Therefore, many remained trapped on the Slovenian borders and also inside the country and could not return to their homeland.
About a hundred Serbian citizens were trapped in Slovenia due to the closure of the borders. Due to the complete lack of accommodation, some of them spent even a week in their cars - at highway stops or in the vicinity of the Serbian embassy in Ljubljana, where arrangements were made for their return to their homeland. It was not until March 24 that the Ljubljana city administration provided them with accommodation in the Ježica sports hall, and the next day the first convoys left for Serbia.
